Excitement about buying a new home won't last forever. At some point, you'll crave something different. Building a new home could be a remedy. This option is for the more moneyed among us. Many homeowners will probably choose to stay in that aging home. There is an option in between: a remodel. After balancing our issues, financial situation, and objectives on a scale, my wife and I decided that a remodel was the best route. The kitchen area was the project we needed to do more than any other. We live in a humid climate. The air had destroyed our appliances, kitchen cabinets, and tile. The kitchen looked like someone murdered a 1981 issue of Better Home and Gardens.

Each room would have a totally different design. The bathroom contains granite counters with a walnut vanity with granite trim; the bathroom cabinets featured a similar style. In our kitchen, we wanted quartz countertops and hardwood floors.

Now that the remodel is complete, our home looks terrific. We hope that it'll will be another decade before we start looking for ways to freshen everything up.
