Our Planet's Leading Advocate!
Forrest Galante is a name synonymous with the natural world, wilderness survival and wildlife expertise. Growing up in Harare, Zimbabwe, Forrest harvested a deep love and strong connection with the natural world that put him on his path in life. Galante's deep involvement with nature grew when he moved back to California after political unrest in Zimbabwe forced the family from their safari outfitters.
In December 2013, Galante spent 21 relentless days in the Panamanian jungle as a participant on Discovery Channel's show 'Naked and Afraid.' He was considered the leader by the cast, and not only survived, but thrived. This was the public's introduction to the naturalist Forrest Galante. He now hosts Animal Planet's hit show 'Extinct or Alive,' where he utilizes his unique skill-set to search for evidence that animals once deemed extinct may still be in the wild. Forrest considers this the most meaningful television work he has ever been a part of, because it combines education with conservation and adventure with wildlife. It's his dedication to the natural parts of the planet we live on that attracts us to this impressive person.
